Report: IMF to disburse at least at $5 bln to Ukraine
KIEV, Jan 12 (PRIME) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) may disburse U.S. $5 billion or even more after a visit of its mission to Ukraine, channel 112 Ukraine reported Monday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.
“The mission has not arrived empty-handed. They will give us money,” the sources told the channel.
Last week, Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk said that an IMF mission had arrived to Ukraine to discuss further tranches of the financial support program. The discussions will continue until January 29, the central bank said.
Ukraine must reform its financial policies in exchange for the bailout.
